Joanna is an amazing songwriter and performer from Virginia Beach, VA.. I had a blast making this record with her and Chirdori, her drummer. Joanna recently had a placement for the song “Walk” on the Disney channel and performed on American Idol. Standout moments for me while making this record were the recording of the horns on “Walk” and “Losing My Mind”, as well as Joanna singing “Speaking Japanese”.

One of the most talented songwriters and singers I've ever recorded. She's now touring the world singing jazz, but when we made this record a few years back she was focused on more rock oriented songs. She wanted to combine Liz Phair's first album with more modern female songwriters. Her chord structures and melodies reminded me of Led Zeppelin meets Jellyfish. So, we just sort of went for it. It was a blast to make, and I am really proud of this stuff!

Fantastic signer-songwriter out of Washington DC. These recordings landed her a development deal with Interscope and loads of great reviews. Recorded at Low Watt Raleigh and mixed by Micah Wilshire.

Recorded with Courtney several times- two Lucky Town records and a solo EP. Lucky Town were blowing up at one point. They had several radio stations behind them, features in HITS, and a layout in Rolling Stone. The band signed to Jay Z's Rock-A-Fella, and we started working on the album. Sadly at some point the label decided not to release, and these are essentially what's left of those sessions. After the band called it quits, Courtney moved to NYC and continued writing, and at some point we got a bunch of friends together and made her EP. The Lucky Town tracks were recorded at Low Watt DC and the bands house. The solo track was cut at Low Watt Raleigh. Lots of good songs... I heard that "LA" was Jay-Z's favorite....mine too....
